GETTING STARTED
I. OBJECTIVES
1. Knowledge and skills
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Set the context for the introductory conversation about hobbies.
- Introduce the topic of the unit, the vocabulary related to hobbies, the sounds /ə/ and /ɜ:/, and the present simple tense.
2. Competences

- Communication and collaboration: work in pairs or groups to complete the learning tasks.

- Read and listen for specific information about favourite hobbies.

1. WARM-UP
a. Objective: To activate students' prior knowledge and create a friendly, engaging atmosphere before starting the new lesson.

- Task 2: Open an AI Image Generator (e.g., Canva Magic Media or Bing Image Creator). Type a descriptive prompt in English to generate a picture of your favourite hobby.
- Write 3 sentences describing the hobby using the present simple tense, and post both the image and the text to the class Padlet.

- Students input prompts into the Gen AI tool, select the best generated image, and write their sentences.

- The winner of the game reads aloud the names they have.
