I. OBJECTIVES
1. Knowledge and skills
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Identify simple sentences and compound sentences.
- Understand the usage of coordinating conjunctions (for, and, but, or, so) and conjunctive adverbs (however, therefore, otherwise) to connect independent clauses.
- Write and combine compound sentences correctly using appropriate punctuation (commas and semicolons).

Activity 1: Tick (✓) the simple sentences.

b. Content: Students work individually to read 5 sentences and tick the ones that are simple sentences.
c. Product: Students' correct identification of simple sentences.
