COMMUNICATION
I. OBJECTIVES
1. Knowledge and skills
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Learn how to give opinions.
- Learn how to talk about the life of different minority groups, specifically the Jrai people.
2. Competences
General competences:
- Self-control and independent learning: listen, read, and formulate personal opinions.
- Communication and collaboration: work in pairs or groups to complete the learning tasks, practice making conversations, and share opinions.
Specific competences:
- Develop listening and reading skills for specific expressions used to give opinions.
- Apply target structures to express thoughts on the lifestyle and culture of ethnic minority groups.

b. Content: Students listen and read along the conversation between Tom, Trang, and Mai, focusing on phrases used for giving opinions.
c. Product: Students identify and understand the structures for giving opinions.

b. Content: Students complete a 6-question multiple-choice quiz about ethnic minorities in Viet Nam.

- Task: Imagine you have a penpal from the UK. Write a short letter (about 50-70 words) telling them about ONE interesting feature of the Jrai people (or any ethnic group you like). You MUST use at least TWO structures for giving opinions (e.g., "I think...", "What do you think...?", "To my way of thinking...") to express how you feel about that feature.
- Students use word processing software (e.g., MS Word, Google Docs,...) to format the letter, insert decorative images they find online, and use an AI grammar checker (e.g., Grammarly) to refine their text.
