I. OBJECTIVES

1. Knowledge and skills

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

Read for main ideas and specific information (skimming and scanning) in a text about a village festival day.
Guess the meaning of words/phrases in context, and summarize the text.
Make a mind map to summarize information about a family event.
Predict the content of a dialogue and role-play asking and answering questions about a family event.
