1. WARM-UP

a. Objective: To revise the learned sound, words, and energize the class before the new lesson.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher greets the class.

- The teacher operates an interactive digital smartboard to display animated contexts and taps the digital bubbles on the screen to play the corresponding audio.

- Teacher asks pupils to look at the picture in Lesson 1 and say the sound of the letter D/d and the words desk, dog, door, duck.

- Teacher has them play the game Red words, green words again to draw pupils' attention to the words they have learnt in Lesson 1.

- Teacher gets pupils to open the book and look at Lesson 2.

- Pupils greet the teacher.

- Pupils select simple digital technologies to interact by stepping up to the smartboard and tapping the screen to hear the dialogue.

- Pupils look at the picture and pronounce the sound and words loudly.

- Pupils actively participate in the Red words, green words game.

- Pupils open their books and get ready for the new lesson.

Activity 4: Listen and tick.

a. Objective: Pupils will be able to listen, recognise the words and tick the correct boxes.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher has pupils look at the pictures of Question 1, saying Look at the pictures, please! and say what they can see.

- Teacher pushes a digital quiz version of this listening task to the pupils' tablets via the network.

- Teacher  invites some pupils to point to the pictures and say the words in front of the class.

- Teacher plays the recording of the first sentence for pupils to listen and tick the box.

- Teacher  asks pupils to say what they have heard and ticked.

- Teacher follows the same procedure with Question 2.

- Teacher  calls a few pupils to the front to point to the pictures and say what they have heard.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the pictures and identify the items.

- Pupils open the digital assessment file on their tablets.

- Selected pupils point and say the words aloud.

a. Objective: Pupils will be able to trace the letter D/d (upper case and lower case) correctly and neatly.

3. PRACTICE

a. Objective: To consolidate word and picture recognition suitably for Grade 1 pupils.

b. Organisation:

Mission 1: "Match and Say"

- Teacher puts 4 flashcards of words (desk, dog, door, duck) on the left side of the screen and 4 picture cards on the right side in random order.

- Teacher calls 4 pupils to come to the board, use a marker to draw a line matching the word to the correct picture.

- Teacher  asks the whole class to check if the matching is correct by saying: "Yes!" or "No!".

- Teacher  has the whole class point to the matched pairs and read the words aloud twice.

Mission 2: Complete the quiz (optional).

- Teacher sends link the quiz on website kenhhoctap: https://kenhhoctap.edu.vn/page/day-du-cac-tai-lieu for student to perform.

- Teacher gives pupils 5 minutes to choose the correct answer.

- Teacher calls out pupils to share their answers and explain the correct ones.

- Teacher monitors and offers support.

- Teacher asks fast finishers to read the completed words aloud to their partners.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils observe the words and pictures on the screen.

- Selected pupils draw lines to match.

- The class checks the answers together.

- Pupils read the words aloud.
