1. WARM-UP

a. Objective: To revise the learned chant in Lesson 2, create a joyful atmosphere, and smoothly lead into the new lesson.

b. Organisation: 

- Teacher greets the class.

- The teacher operates an interactive digital smartboard to display animated contexts and taps the digital bubbles on the screen to play the corresponding audio.

- Teacher reminds pupils of what they have learnt in Lesson 2 (the chant with the sound /e/ and the words bell, pen, pencil, red).

- Teacher asks the class to sing the chant again. While singing, pupils play the game Pass the ball. When the teacher stops the music/chant, the pupil holding the ball has to quickly touch something RED in the classroom and say "Red!".

- Repeat 3-4 times to energize the class.

- Tell pupils to open their books and look at Lesson 3.

- Pupils greet the teacher.

- Pupils select simple digital technologies to interact by stepping up to the smartboard and tapping the screen to hear the dialogue.

- Pupils remember the previous lesson.

- Pupils actively pass the ball while singing the chant and clapping their hands.

- The pupil holding the ball quickly finds a red object, touches it, and shouts "Red!".

- Pupils open their books to Lesson 3.

2. PRESENTATION

a. Objective: Pupils will be able to listen and repeat the sentence "It's a red pen."

Activity 7: Let's talk.

a. Objective: Pupils will be able to introduce things using "It's a red ______."

b. Organisation:

- Teacher  has pupils look at the bubble to understand how the language is used (It's a red ____.).

- Teacher guides pupils to access the specific interactive speaking module on their tablets. - Teacher  asks them to look at the pictures to identify the things. Let them point to the pictures and say the words.

- Teacher  points to Picture a and model the task: It's a red pencil. Ask pupils to say the sentence in chorus and individually.

- Teacher encourages pupils to tap the objects on their tablet screens to trigger native audio models.

- Teacher  follows the same procedure with Pictures b, c, d by getting pupils to point to the pictures and introduce the things.

- Teacher  invites some pupils to point to the pictures and say the sentences in front of the class. Praise them: Well done!

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils observe the speech bubble.

- Pupils navigate their devices.

- Pupils identify the objects: pencil, pen, desk, bell.

- Pupils practice the full sentence: "It's a red pencil."

- Pupils interact with their tablets.

- Volunteer pupils perform the activity in front of the class.

3. PRACTICE

a. Objective: To consolidate the sentence pattern "It's a red..." and word recognition through a very basic completion format suitable for Grade 1.

b. Organisation:

Mission 1: "Choose and Say"

- Teacher uses the smartboard to project a digital version of this task.  

- Teacher guides pupils to look at the picture, pick the correct word, and write it on their mini-whiteboards.

- Give pupils 2 minutes to complete the task.

- Check answers as a class by asking pupils to hold up their boards, and then read the completed sentences aloud together.

Mission 2: Complete the quiz (optional).

- Teacher sends link the quiz on website kenhhoctap: https://kenhhoctap.edu.vn/page/day-du-cac-tai-lieu for student to perform.

- Teacher gives pupils 5 minutes to choose the correct answer.

- Teacher calls out pupils to share their answers and explain the correct ones.

- Teacher monitors and offers support.

- Teacher asks fast finishers to read the completed words aloud to their partners.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the screen, pictures and sentences. 

- Pupils choose the correct words and write them down on their mini-whiteboards.
