1. WARM-UP

a. Objective: To revise the story of Phil and Sue and transition smoothly into the self-check activities.

b. Organisation: 

- Teacher greets the class.

- The teacher operates an interactive digital smartboard to display animated contexts and taps the digital bubbles on the screen to play the corresponding audio.

- Teacher projects the comic strip of Phil and Sue (from Lesson 1) on the screen but mutes the audio.

- Teacher invites 2 pairs of pupils to come to the front and act as "Voice Actors" for Phil and Sue, pointing to the screen and reading the speech bubbles aloud.

- The class claps for their friends.

- Teacher asks pupils to open their books and look at Self-check.

- Pupils greet the teacher.

a. Objective: Pupils will be able to listen and identify the sounds by circling the letters.

b. Organisation:

- Have pupils look at the pairs of letters 

- Teacher locates and opens the specific audio track for Activity 2 from the organized digital class folder. 

- Play the recording, ask pupils to listen and circle the letters of the sounds.

- Ask pupils to swap and check answers. Give the correct answers.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils observe the letter pairs.

- Pupils use their digital pen or finger to draw circles around the letters on their tablet screens. 

- Pupils listen carefully and circle the correct letters.

a. Objective: To consolidate word recognition using a very basic and clear sentence completion task, highly suitable for Grade 1.

b. Organisation:

Mission 1: "Choose the Correct Word"

- Teacher uses the smartboard to project a digital version of this task.  

- Teacher guides pupils to look at the picture, choose the matching word in the brackets, and write it on their mini-whiteboards.

- Teacher checks answers as a class.

Mission 2: Complete the quiz (optional).

- Teacher sends link the quiz on website kenhhoctap: https://kenhhoctap.edu.vn/page/day-du-cac-tai-lieu for student to perform.

- Teacher gives pupils 5 minutes to choose the correct answer.

- Teacher calls out pupils to share their answers and explain the correct ones.

- Teacher monitors and offers support.

- Teacher asks fast finishers to read the completed words aloud to their partners.
