2. PRESENTATION

Activity 1: Circle and match. Then say.

a. Objective: Pupils revise the words pen, pencil, red, chips and fish.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher puts pupils to look at the picture and the line of random letters. Explain how to do the task: Circle the words in the line, then match them with the correct pictures.

- Teacher pushes a digital, interactive version of the word-search puzzle to the pupils' tablets via the classroom network.

- Teacher encourages pupils to speak out the words illustrated by the pictures first.

- Model one word with the class. Ask pupils to circle the words individually and match the words with the pictures. Give support if needed.

- Teacher  has pupils exchange their answers in pairs. Then call some pupils to show their work. Say Well done!

- Teacher  gets pupils to point to the words and say them until they feel confident.

Extension: Write some learnt words on the board in two vertical lines. Call one pupil from each team to go to the board and draw simple pictures to match the words.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the task and understand the instructions.

- Pupils unlock their tablets to find the task. 

- Pupils identify the pictures: pen, chips, pencil, red, fish.

- Pupils observe the teacher's model.

- Pupils work individually to find and circle the hidden words, then draw lines to match.

- Pupils swap books to check.

- Pupils practice pointing and saying the words aloud.

- Selected pupils run to the board and quickly draw simple pictures for the words.

3. PRACTICE

a. Objective: To consolidate word recognition and meaning using a very basic, visual-focused sentence completion format suitable for Grade 1.

b. Organisation:

Mission 1: "Choose and Write"

- Teacher uses the smartboard to project a digital version of this task.  

- Teacher guides pupils to look at the picture, pick the correct word, and write it on their mini-whiteboards.

- Give pupils 2 minutes to complete.

- Check answers as a class and have the whole class read the completed sentences aloud.

Mission 2: Complete the quiz (optional).

- Teacher sends link the quiz on website kenhhoctap: https://kenhhoctap.edu.vn/page/day-du-cac-tai-lieu for student to perform.

- Teacher gives pupils 5 minutes to choose the correct answer.

- Teacher calls out pupils to share their answers and explain the correct ones.

- Teacher monitors and offers support.

- Teacher asks fast finishers to read the completed words aloud to their partners.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the screen, pictures and sentences. 

- Pupils carefully choose the correct words and write them down on their mini-whiteboards.
