1. WARM-UP

a. Objective: To create an engaging and exciting atmosphere and introduce the topic/target words of the lesson visually.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher greets the class.

- Teacher asks the students to watch an AI-generated video designed to support the lesson and answer the questions that appear in the video.

- Teacher brings a decorated "Mystery Box" to the class. Inside the box are 4 items: a toy car, a toy cat, a plastic cup, and a fake cake.

- Teacher shakes the box to create curiosity. Ask: "What's in the box?"

- Teacher invites 4 pupils to come to the front, put their hands in the box (without looking), touch an object, and guess what it is (in Vietnamese or English).

- Teacher takes the objects out one by one. Ask the class to look at them. Introduce that all these things start with the letter C/c in English.

- Teacher asks pupils to open their books at page 13, Unit 2, Lesson 1. Lead into the new lesson.

- Pupils greet the teacher.

- Students watch the AI-generated video and answer the questions about it.

- Pupils look at the box curiously.

- 4 pupils come to the front, touch the objects, and guess (e.g., "Con mèo!", "Cái ô tô!",...).

- Pupils look at the real objects and listen to the teacher.

- Pupils open their books and prepare for the new lesson.

Activity 1: Listen and repeat.

a. Objective: Pupils will be able to pronounce the sound of the letter C/c in isolation and in the words cake, car, cat and cup correctly.

Activity 2: Point and say.

a. Objective: Pupils will be able to point to the letter C/c, the pet (cat) and things (cake, car, cup) in the picture and say the sound of the letter C/c, the words cake, car, cat and cup.

b. Organisation:

- Ask pupils to look at the picture again. Ask them to describe the picture and draw their attention to the letter C/c and the words they have learnt.

- Get pupils to point to the letter C/c and say it. Praise them if correct.

- Ask pupils to point to the cake on the table and say the word cake as a model (Point and say, please!). Remind them of the sound of the letter c in the word cake. Ask one pupil to point and say in front of the class.

- Follow the same procedure with other things (car, cat, cup). Correct pronunciation and give support to weaker pupils.

- Get pupils to work in pairs or groups to point to the things in the picture and say the sound of the letter C/c and the words. Go around to offer help.

- Select some pupils to point to the picture and say the words in front of the class.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the picture and remember the words.

- Pupils point to the letter C/c and say the sound.

- Pupils look at the teacher's model, listen to the instruction. One pupil points to the cake and says the word.

- Pupils point and say the other words with the teacher's guidance.

- Pupils work in pairs/groups, taking turns to point to the book and say the words aloud.

- Selected pupils come to the front, point to the big picture on the board, and say the words.

Fun corner: Pelmanism

a. Objective: Pupils will be able to play the game Pelmanism.

3. PRACTICE 

a. Objective: To review and check pupils' understanding of the letter C/c and the 4 target words through exercises.

b. Organisation:

Mission 1: Look, Trace and Match

- Teacher distributes a printed worksheet to each pupil.

+ Right column: 4 clear, outline pictures (a cat, a car, a cake, a cup) randomly arranged.

- Teacher models the task on the board: First, trace the big C and small c. Then, trace the letter c in the word cat, say the word aloud, and draw a line to connect it to the picture of the cat.

- Teacher asks pupils to complete the worksheet individually. Remind them to trace carefully and draw straight lines.

- Teacher goes around the classroom to monitor, correct their pencil grip if necessary, and offer support to those who need help.

- Teacher checks the answers as a class by pointing to the pictures on the board and asking: "What's this?" Have pupils hold up their worksheets, point to the correct matched item, and say the word.

Mission 2: Complete the quiz (optional).

- Teacher sends link the quiz on website  kenhhoctap for student to perform.

- Teacher gives pupils 5 minutes to choose the correct answer.

- Teacher calls out pupils to share their answers and explain the correct ones.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils receive the worksheet and observe the words and pictures.
