Activity 1: Listen and repeat.

a. Objective: Pupils will be able to listen and repeat the story "Phil and Sue".

b. Organisation:

- Teacher has pupils look at the picture of the boy, the girl, and the speech bubbles. Introduce the two new characters Phil and Sue, asking questions like Who's the boy? Who's the girl? What are they doing?

- Teacher displays the digital comic story on the smartboard.

- Teacher has pupils look at Picture 1 and describe it. Draw attention to Phil, Sue, and their greetings.

- Teacher plays the recording several times for pupils to listen and repeat the bubbles.

- Teacher activates an AI speech evaluation app on student tablets. 

- Teacher repeats the same procedure with Pictures 2, 3, and 4. Correct pronunciation if necessary.

- Teacher plays the recording of the whole story several times. Have pupils listen, point to the speech bubbles, and repeat until confident.

- Teacher plays the recording again and invite some pairs to listen and repeat the story in front of the class. Encourage them to use gestures and face expressions. Praise them saying Well done!.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the characters and answer the teacher's questions.

- Pupils view the digital story on the screen. 

- Pupils observe Picture 1 and describe the greeting scene.

- Pupils listen and repeat the speech bubbles.

- Pupils speak into their tablet microphones. 

- Pupils look at Pictures 2, 3, 4, listen and repeat the sentences.

- Pupils point to the text in their books and read along with the audio.

- Selected pairs perform the story in front of the class with gestures.

3. PRACTICE

a. Objective: To consolidate the vocabulary and sentence structures from the story in a simple, visual format suitable for Grade 1.

b. Organisation:

Mission 1: "Read and Match"

- Teacher puts 3 pictures on the left side of the screen and 3 short sentences on the right side.

- Teacher projects an interactive matching activity on the smartboard. 

- Teacher calls 3 pupils to come to the board and draw a line to match the picture with the correct sentence spoken in the story.

- Check answers as a class by asking the whole class to read the matched sentences aloud.

Mission 2: Complete the quiz (optional).

- Teacher sends link the quiz on website kenhhoctap: https://kenhhoctap.edu.vn/page/day-du-cac-tai-lieu for student to perform.

- Teacher gives pupils 5 minutes to choose the correct answer.

- Teacher calls out pupils to share their answers and explain the correct ones.

- Teacher monitors and offers support.

- Teacher asks fast finishers to read the completed words aloud to their partners.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the screen and recall the story of Phil and Sue.

- A selected pupil steps up to interact with the screen. 

- Selected pupils draw lines to match the pictures with the sentences.

- The rest of the class observes and helps check.
