2. PRESENTATION 

Activity 1: Listen and repeat.

a. Objective: Pupils will be able to listen and repeat the story with correct pronunciation, stress and intonation.

b. Organisation:

- Have pupils look at the pictures (1-4). Ask questions: Who are in the pictures? What are they doing? Have pupils guess the content of the story.

- Teacher projects an interactive, animated version of the story on the smartboard where character voices are powered by Text-to-Speech AI. 

- Have pupils look at Picture 1, saying Look at Picture 1, please! Draw attention to the boys (Phil, Ben), the girl (Sue), the bag, and the ball.

- Let pupils listen to the recording, point to the sentences in the speech bubbles and repeat, saying Now listen, point to the sentences and repeat, please! Check comprehension.

- Teacher repeats the same procedure with Pictures 2, 3 and 4. Correct pronunciation.

- Teacher plays the recording of the whole story several times. Have pupils listen, point and repeat until confident.

- Have pupils work in pairs, look at the pictures and read aloud the story. Go around to help.

- Teacher plays the recording again and invite a few pairs to listen and repeat the story in front of the class. Encourage gestures and face expressions.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the pictures and guess the story.

- Pupils identify the characters and objects in Picture 1.

- Selected pupils tap the screen. 

- Pupils listen to the audio, point to the speech bubbles, and repeat the sentences loudly.

- Pupils practice with Pictures 2, 3, and 4.

- Pupils listen and repeat the whole story.

- Pupils work in pairs, taking turns reading the character roles.

- Volunteer pairs perform the story in front of the class with gestures.

a. Objective: Pupils will be able to identify the words for the pictures by circling them in a word chain.

3. PRACTICE

a. Objective: To consolidate the vocabulary revised in Activity 2 using an extremely simple and visual sentence completion format.

b. Organisation:

Mission 1: "Choose and Write"

- Teacher uses the smartboard to project a digital version of this task.  

- Teacher guides pupils to look at the picture, pick the correct word, and write it on their mini-whiteboards.

- Give pupils 2 minutes to complete.

- Check answers as a class and have the whole class read the completed sentences aloud.

Mission 2: Complete the quiz (optional).

- Teacher sends link the quiz on website kenhhoctap: https://kenhhoctap.edu.vn/page/day-du-cac-tai-lieu for student to perform.

- Teacher gives pupils 5 minutes to choose the correct answer.

- Teacher calls out pupils to share their answers and explain the correct ones.

- Teacher monitors and offers support.

- Teacher asks fast finishers to read the completed words aloud to their partners.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the screen, pictures and sentences. 

- Pupils carefully choose the correct words and write them down on their mini-whiteboards.
