1. WARM-UP

a. Objective: To create an engaging atmosphere, revise the previous lesson, and playfully introduce the new topic "In the park".

b. Organisation: 

- Teacher asks pupils to greet.

- The teacher operates an interactive digital smartboard to display animated contexts and taps the digital bubbles on the screen to play the corresponding audio.

- Spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson by asking the class to sing the song in Unit 7, Lesson 3 and clap their hands.

- Let pupils play the Bang game using the words they learnt in Unit 7 (garden, gate, girl, goat).

- After the game, the teacher puts on a sun hat, acts like walking, and says: "It's sunny today. Let's go to the PARK!" Show a picture of a park.

- Have pupils open their books and look at Unit 8, Lesson 1.

- Pupils greet the teacher.

- Pupils select simple digital technologies to interact by stepping up to the smartboard and tapping the screen to hear the dialogue.

- Pupils confidently sing the Unit 7 song and clap their hands.

- Pupils participate in the Bang game enthusiastically.

- Pupils look at the teacher's acting and the park picture with curiosity.

- Pupils open their books to Unit 8.

2. PRESENTATION

Activity 1: Listen and repeat.

a. Objective: Pupils will be able to pronounce the sound of the letter H/h in isolation and in the words hair, hand, head and horse correctly.

Activity 2: Point and say.

a. Objective: Pupils will be able to point to the letter H/h, the animal and parts of the body in the picture and say the sound and the words

b. Organisation:

- Teacher  has pupils look at the picture again and describe it. Draw attention to the letter H/h and the words.

- Teacher guides pupils to access the specific vocabulary module on their tablets.

- Teacher  gets them to point to the letter H/h and say it. 

- Let them point to the girl's hair and say the word hair as a model. Ask one pupil to point and say in front of the class

- Teacher follows the same procedure with the horse and other parts of the body.

- Teacher asks pupils to work in pairs or groups to point to the picture and say the sound and the words, saying Work in pairs, point and say, please!.

- Invite a few pupils to point to the picture and say the sound and the words in front of the class.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the picture.

- Pupils navigate their devices.

- Pupils point to the letter H/h and say the sound aloud.

- Pupils point to the girl's hair and say the word hair.

- Pupils practice with the other items (hand, head, horse).

- Pupils work in pairs, taking turns pointing and saying the words.

- Pupils present in front of the class.

3. PRACTICE

a. Objective: To consolidate word recognition using an extremely simple, visual-focused sentence completion format

b. Organisation:

Mission 1: "Look and Choose"

- Teacher uses the smartboard to project a digital version of this task.  

- Teacher guides pupils to look at the picture, pick the correct word, and write it on their mini-whiteboards.

- Give pupils 2 minutes to complete.

- Check answers as a class and have the whole class read the completed words aloud.

Mission 2: Complete the quiz (optional).

- Teacher sends link the quiz on website kenhhoctap: https://kenhhoctap.edu.vn/page/day-du-cac-tai-lieu for student to perform.

- Teacher gives pupils 5 minutes to choose the correct answer.

- Teacher calls out pupils to share their answers and explain the correct ones.

- Teacher monitors and offers support.

- Teacher asks fast finishers to read the completed words aloud to their partners.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the screen, pictures and sentences. 

- Pupils carefully choose the correct words and write them down on their mini-whiteboards

- Pupils hold up their boards to show the teacher.

- Check answers with classmates. Pupils point to the board and read: "hair, horse."
