2. PRESENTATION

Activity 1: Rearrange the letters to make words. Then say.

a. Objective: To correctly spell and pronounce the words square, fox, quiz and box.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher draws pupils' attention to Picture 1 in the book (say "Look at Picture 1."). Elicit the word indicated by the picture. When pupils answer correctly, confirm by saying "square" but don't write the word on the board yet.

- Teacher pushes an interactive digital word-unscramble puzzle to the pupils' tablets.

- Teacher activates an AI Voice Recognition tool linked to the puzzle for pronunciation checking.

- Teacher repeats Step 1 for Pictures 2, 3 and 4.

- Teacher draws pupils' attention to the scrambled letters beside each picture. Have them rearrange the letters to make words in their books. Go around the class to offer help, if necessary.

- Teacher writes each set of letters on the board. Nominates four pupils to come to the front and rearrange the letters to make words on the board.

- Teacher encourages the rest of the class to help them and to check their own answers.

- Teacher points to each word and encourages pupils to say it both individually and in chorus. Correct pupils' pronunciation if necessary, and praise them when their pronunciation is good.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at Picture 1 and say the word "square".

- Pupils look at the other pictures and say the words "fox, quiz, box".

- Pupils unlock their tablets and open the shared puzzle file.

- Pupils lay their tablets flat and securely on their desks.

- Pupils work independently in their books to rearrange the letters to make the correct words.

- Four selected pupils come to the board to write the correct words.

- Pupils check their answers with the board.

- Pupils say the words aloud individually and in chorus.

3. PRACTICE

a. Objective: To review and consolidate the knowledge just learned (spelling and meaning) in a format suitable for Grade 2 motor skills.

b. Organisation:

Mission 1: "Look, Match & Trace"

- Teacher uses the smartboard to project a digital version of this task.  

- Teacher instructs pupils to first draw a line to match the correct picture to the correct word.

- After matching, pupils must use their pencils to trace over the dotted letters of the words to practice handwriting and spelling.

- Teacher displays the correct matching on the TV/Projector and asks pupils to swap worksheets to check each other's work.

Mission 2: Complete the quiz (optional).

- Teacher sends link the quiz on website kenhhoctap: https://kenhhoctap.edu.vn/page/day-du-cac-tai-lieu for student to perform.

- Teacher gives pupils 5 minutes to choose the correct answer.

- Teacher calls out pupils to share their answers and explain the correct ones.

- Teacher monitors and offers support.

- Teacher asks fast finishers to read the completed words aloud to their partners.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the screen, pictures and sentences. 

- Pupils receive the worksheet.

- Pupils draw lines connecting the pictures to the correct dotted words.

- Pupils trace the letters carefully to practice spelling.

- Pupils swap worksheets with their desk partners and check the answers based on the teacher's screen.
