Lesson 3 (1 period)
I. OBJECTIVES
1. Knowledge and skills
By the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to:
- Use the sentence structure "Let’s look at the _____!" to suggest doing something.
- Correctly identify and say the words related to the seaside: sea, sail, sand.
- Sing a song with the sentence structure "Let’s look at the _____!" with the correct pronunciation, rhythm, and melody.

- Communication and collaboration: Work in pairs and groups to complete the learning tasks, practice speaking and singing together.

2. PRESENTATION Activity 6: Listen and repeat. a. Objective: To use the sentence structure Let's look at the _____! to suggest doing something. b. Organisation: - Teacher draws pupils’ attention to the picture (say "Look at the picture."). Say "I can see the sea. Let’s look at the sea!"
- Teacher has pupils point to the sentence (say "Point to the sentence."). Play the recording from sachmem.net and encourage pupils to repeat (say "Listen and repeat."). - Do this several times, with pupils repeating both individually and in chorus.
- Teacher introduces an AI-powered pronunciation app (eg., Native Speech,...) on the tablet to assess their pronunciation. - Teacher moves on to the next content. |
- Pupils look at the picture showing a boy and his parents at the seaside.
- Pupils point to the sentence "Let's look at the sea!".
- Pupils listen to the recording and repeat the sentence individually and in chorus. - Pupils take turns speaking into the tablet's microphone to interact with the AI app and observe the instant feedback. |

Activity 8: Let's sing! a. Objective: To sing a song with the sentence structure Let's look at the _____! b. Organisation: - Draw pupils’ attention to the picture. Say "I can see the _____." and encourage them to complete the sentence with the things they can see (sea, sail, sand).
- Play the recording to familiarise pupils with the rhythm and melody. (Optional: If Saturday and Sunday are new, draw a simple calendar on the board. Write the current day, then introduce Saturday and Sunday). - Read the song line by line and encourage pupils to repeat. Do this several times, correcting pronunciation. - Say "Let’s sing!". Play the recording line by line and encourage pupils to sing along. - Have pupils work in groups to make up actions for the song. Invite a few groups to perform the song for the class. - Teacher moves on to the next content. |
- Pupils look at the picture (a boy and a girl at the seaside) and identify things they see.

Organisation: Mission: "The Seaside Director" - Teacher explains the fun homework task: "Tonight, you will be a Seaside Director!" - Create a small "seaside corner" in your room using things you have at home. For example: + Use a blue T-shirt or towel to make the sea. + Fold a paper boat to show the sail. + Use a yellow notebook or some Lego blocks to make the sand. - Invite your mom, dad, or siblings to your seaside corner. Point to your creative items and act like a director, saying loudly and clearly: “Let's look at the sea!” “Let's look at the sail!” “Let's look at the sand!” - Teacher encourages pupils to ask their parents to record a short video of their lovely presentation to share with the class in the next lesson. * CONSOLIDATION - Teacher reviews and summarizes the main structure (Let's look at the ___!) and vocabulary (sea, sail, sand). - Teacher comments on and evaluates pupils' participation during the class. * ADVICE - Sing the song again at home. - Do the "Little Tour Guide" drawing and speaking task. - Prepare for Unit 4 – Lesson 1. |
