2. PRESENTATION

Activity 3: Listen and chant.

a. Objective: To say a chant with the sound of the letter X/x (/ks/), the words box, fox, ox and the sentence structure I can see a/an _____.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher draws pupils’ attention to the picture and have them point to the box (say "Look at the picture. Point to the box.").

- Teacher   says "I can see a box." and encourage pupils to repeat. To reinforce their understanding, point to your eyes as you say "see".

- Teacher repeats Steps 1 and 2 for fox and ox.

- Teacher projects an AI-generated animated karaoke video of the chant on the smartboard where the target words (X, x, box, fox, ox) light up dynamically.

- Teacher  plays the recording of the chant to familiarise pupils with the words and rhythm (say "Listen.").

- Have pupils point to the first line of the chant. Play the recording of the first line and encourage pupils to chant.

- Teacher  repeats Step 5 for the other lines.

- Teacher  plays the recording in full and encourage pupils to chant. Pupils can clap along or do other actions to keep the rhythm.

- Teacher  divides the class into two teams. The teams take turns to chant a line.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils observe the picture of the farm in their books.

- Pupils point to the box.

- Pupils observe the teacher's gestures, listen, and repeat the structure: "I can see a box."

- Pupils repeat for the fox and the ox.

- Pupils watch the smartboard and follow the highlighted digital text to keep the rhythm.

- Pupils listen to the rhythm of the chant carefully.

- Pupils point to each line and chant along with the audio.

- Pupils chant the full song with clapping and actions.

- Two teams take turns chanting enthusiastically.

Activity 4: Listen and circle.

a. Objective: To recognise the words ox, fox and the sentence structure I can see a/an _____. while listening.

b. Organisation:

Activity 5: Look and write.

a. Objective: To write the letter X/x and complete the words fox, ox and box.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher writes the letter X (upper case) on the board and say "X" (/eks/).

- Teacher activates an AI Handwriting Recognition app on the pupils' tablets.

- Teacher  writes the letter X again, but this time more slowly. Invite a few pupils to come to the front of the class and write the letter X on the board.

- Teacher  writes Steps 1 and 2 for x (lower case).

- Teacher  draws pupils' attention to the writing grids. Allow pupils time to complete the activity. Go around to offer support.

- Teacher  draws pupils' attention to the pictures and labels (fo__, o__, bo__). Allow pupils time to complete the missing letter 'x'. Go around to offer feedback.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils observe the teacher writing X on the board.

- Pupils place their tablets securely on the table.

- Selected pupils come to the front to practice writing X and x.

- Pupils use their pencils to trace and write the letters in the grids in their books.

- Pupils look at the pictures and write the letter x to complete the words.

- Pupils read the completed words aloud: "fox, ox, box".

3. PRACTICE

a. Objective: To consolidate the sentence structure I can see a/an _____. using a simple, visual-focused format suitable for Grade 2.

b. Organisation:

4. APPLICATION

a. Objective: To playfully apply the target vocabulary and structures in an interactive, observation-based game.

b. Organisation:

Mission: "I Spy on the Farm"

- Teacher sticks a large, busy picture of a farm on the board (which includes a hidden fox, a box, and an ox).

- Teacher prepares a toy binocular (or a rolled-up paper tube).

- Teacher invites a pupil to come to the front, gives them the binocular, and says: "Look at the farm! What can you see?"

- The pupil looks through the binocular, points to an object in the picture, and says loudly: "I can see a box!" (or a fox / an ox).

- The class claps if the sentence is correct. Pass the binocular to another pupil to find a different object.

- Praise pupils for their excellent observation and speaking skills.

* CONSOLIDATION

- Teacher reviews and summarizes the main points of the lesson (The chant, the structure I can see a/an..., and writing letter X/x).

- Teacher comments on and evaluates pupils' participation.

* ADVICE

- Practise the chant at home.

- Finish the writing task in the workbook.

- Prepare for Unit 6 - Lesson 3.

- Pupils look at the big farm picture on the board with excitement.

- Volunteer pupils come to the front and use the toy binocular.

- The pupil carefully searches the picture, points to the target item, and confidently says the structure: "I can see a fox!"

- The rest of the class listens and applaudes the correct sentences.
