Activity 6: Listen and repeat.

a. Objective: To use the sentence structures Pass me the ____, please. and Here you are. to make and respond to a request.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher  draws pupils’ attention to the picture (say "Look at the picture."). Explain that a mother and son are sharing bread and jam.

- Teacher pushes the digital audio track to the pupils' tablets via the classroom network.

- Teacher reminds pupils to plug in their headphones and ensure the volume is kept at a safe level.

- Have pupils point to the sentences (say "Point to the sentences."). Play the recording and encourage pupils to repeat (say "Listen and repeat.").

- Do this several times, with pupils repeating both individually and in chorus.

- Teacher corrects their pronunciation if necessary, and praise them when their pronunciation is good.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils observe the picture of the mother and son sitting at the kitchen table.

- Pupils access the shared audio file on their devices.

- Pupils put on their headphones and manually adjust the volume slider below the safe limit.

Activity 8: Let's sing!

a. Objective: To sing a song with the sentence structures Pass me the ___, please. and Here you are.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher draws pupils' attention to the picture of the family at the table (say "Look at the picture."). Say "Pass me the jam." and encourage pupils to point to the jam and respond using the full sentence.

- Teacher projects an interactive digital karaoke video of the song on the smartboard.

- Teacher plays the recording of the song to familiarise pupils with the rhythm and melody (say "Listen.")

- Teacher reads the song line by line and encourage pupils to repeat. Do this several times.

- Say "Let's sing!". Play the recording line by line and encourage pupils to sing along.

- Have pupils work in groups to make up actions (e.g., reaching out a hand, handing an object over). Invite a few groups to perform for the class.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the family picture. They point to the jam and say: "Here you are."

- Pupils listen to the song's melody.

4. APPLICATION

a. Objective: To apply the learned sentence structures in a fun, communicative group role-play simulating a real-life situation.

b. Organisation:

Mission: "A Polite Picnic"

- Teacher divides the class into small groups of 4 (Picnic groups).

- Give each group a set of 4-5 mini picture cards of food and drinks (jam, jelly, juice, bread, apples...).

- Place the cards in the middle of the group's desk.

- Pupils take turns acting as if they are at a picnic. One pupil wants something and asks the group: "Pass me the jelly, please." The pupil sitting closest to the jelly card picks it up, hands it over, and says: "Here you are."

- The receiver should say "Thank you!" to reinforce good manners.

- Teacher walks around to monitor, praise groups that speak English naturally, and correct any pronunciation issues.

- Teacher reviews and summarizes the main points of the lesson (Making polite requests with Pass me... and Here you are).

- Teacher comments on and evaluates pupils' participation.
