1. WARM-UP

a. Objective: To create a joyful atmosphere, grab pupils' attention, and naturally introduce the target letter V/v and the lesson's context.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher greets the class.

- The teacher operates an interactive digital smartboard to display animated contexts and taps the digital bubbles on the screen to play the corresponding audio.

- Teacher greets the class and shows a decorated "Mystery Box".

- Teacher invites 2 pupils to come to the front, reach their hands into the box without looking, and feel the objects inside (a toy van, a small volleyball).

- Teacher asks: "What is it?" and lets them guess.

- Teacher pulls out the toy van and the volleyball, then asks the whole class: "Where can we play with these? In a city or in a...?" to elicit the word "village".

- Teacher writes the big letter V /v/ on the board in red, introduces the topic of Unit 8, and asks pupils to open their books at Lesson 1.

- Pupils greet the teacher.

- Pupils select simple digital technologies to interact by stepping up to the smartboard and tapping the screen to hear the dialogue.

- Selected pupils come up, touch the objects, and try to guess what they are.

- Pupils look, listen, and shout out their ideas enthusiastically.

- Pupils answer the teacher's question.

- Pupils look at the board, open their books and get ready for the lesson.

Activity 1: Listen and repeat.

a. Objective: To correctly pronounce the name of the letter V/v and the sound /v/, both in isolation and in the words village, van and volleyball.

Activity 2: Point and say.

a. Objective: To correctly identify and pronounce the words village, van and volleyball.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher has pupils point to the letter V/v and correctly pronounce its name and sound (say "Point to the letter V. Say /vi:/. Now say /v/.").

- Teacher has pupils point to and correctly pronounce the word village (say "Point to the village. Say village."). Do this several times, individually and in chorus.

- Teacher repeats Step 2 for van and volleyball.

- Teacher activates an AI Voice Recognition application on the pupils' tablets for individual speaking practice.

- Teacher puts pupils into pairs for further practice of Steps 1 to 3. Go around the class to offer help or correct pupils' pronunciation.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils point to the letter V/v in the book and produce the correct name and sound.

- Pupils point to the village in the picture and pronounce the word clearly.

- Pupils point and say van and volleyball.

- Pupils tap the microphone icon, speak the target words into their tablets, and receive instant visual feedback from the AI. 

- Pupils work in pairs. One points to the picture, the other says the word, then they swap roles.

3. PRACTICE

a. Objective: To consolidate the recognition of the letter v, its sound, and the target vocabulary through a structured, visual exercise suitable for Grade 2.

b. Organisation:

Misson 1: Trace and Match

- Teacher uses the smartboard to project a digital version of this task.  

- Teacher asks pupils to trace the letters first.

- Next, teacher instructs pupils to write the missing letter 'v' to complete the words, and draw a line to match the completed words to the correct pictures.

- Teacher monitors and checks. Invite 3 pupils to the board to draw the matching lines on the projector/TV.

Mission 2: Complete the quiz (optional).

- Teacher sends link the quiz on website kenhhoctap: https://kenhhoctap.edu.vn/page/day-du-cac-tai-lieu for student to perform.

- Teacher gives pupils 5 minutes to choose the correct answer.

- Teacher calls out pupils to share their answers and explain the correct ones.

- Teacher monitors and offers support.

- Teacher asks fast finishers to read the completed words aloud to their partners.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the screen, pictures and sentences. 

- Pupils trace the big V and small v carefully.

- Pupils fill in the missing letter 'v', then draw lines to match the words to the pictures.

- Pupils compare answers with a partner. Selected pupils complete the task on the board.

- Pupils receives the link and choose the answer.

4. APPLICATION
