2. PRESENTATION

Activity 3: Listen and chant.

a. Objective: To say a chant with the sound of the letter V/v (/v/), the words van, village and volleyball and the sentence structure This is a _____.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher draws pupils’ attention to the picture and have them point to the van (say "Look at the picture. Point to the van.").

- Teacher pushes the digital interactive chant file to the pupils' tablets via the classroom network.

Teacher reminds pupils to plug in their headphones and adjust the volume slider below the safe limit.

- Teacher says "This is a van." and encourage pupils to repeat.

- Teacher repeats Steps 1 and 2 for village and volleyball.

- Teacher plays the recording of the chant to familiarise pupils with the words and rhythm (say "Listen.").

- Have pupils point to the first line of the chant. Play the recording of the first line and encourage pupils to chant (say "Listen and chant.").

- Teacher repeats Step 5 for the other lines of the chant.

- Play the recording in full and encourage pupils to chant. Pupils can clap along or do other actions to help them keep the rhythm.

- Teacher divides the class into two teams. The teams take it in turns to chant a line. The whole class can clap along.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils observe the picture in their books and point to the van.

* Context:  three children playing with a volleyball, a van on the road.

- Pupils unlock their tablets and open the shared chant file.

- Pupils put on their headphones and manually adjust the volume slider to a safe listening level.

- Pupils repeat the structure: "This is a van."

- Pupils repeat for the village and the volleyball.

- Pupils listen to the rhythm of the chant carefully.

- Pupils point to the lines and chant along with the audio.

- Pupils chant the full song with clapping and actions.

- Two teams take turns chanting enthusiastically.

Activity 5: Look and write.

a. Objective: To write the letter V/v and complete the words village, volleyball and van.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher writes the letter V (upper case) on the board and say "V" (/vi:/).

- Teacher activates an AI Handwriting Recognition app on the pupils' tablets.

- Teacher writes the letter V again, but this time more slowly. Invite a few pupils to come to the front of the class and write the letter V on the board.

- Teacher repeats Steps 1 and 2 for v (lower case).

- Have pupils look at the writing grids (say "Look and write."). Allow pupils time to complete the activity. Go around the class to offer support and feedback.

- Teacher draws pupils' attention to the pictures and labels (_illage, _olleyball, _an). Allow pupils time to complete the missing letter 'v'. Go around to offer support.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils observe the teacher writing V on the board.

- Pupils use their digital styluses to trace and write the letters 'V' and 'v' in the digital app.

- Selected pupils come to the front to practice writing V and v.

- Pupils use their pencils to trace and write the letters in the grids in their books

- Pupils look at the pictures and write the lowercase letter v to complete the words.

- Pupils read the completed words aloud: "village, volleyball, van".

4. APPLICATION

a. Objective: To apply the learned sentence structure to present objects/places in an interactive role-play.

b. Organisation:

Mission: "My 3D Village Tour"

- Teacher displays pupils a set of 3 small 3D-animated picture cards (a van, a village, a volleyball).

- Teacher models the activity: Put on an imaginary tour guide hat, hold up a card, and say enthusiastically: "Hello! This is a village! This is a van!"

- Pupils work in pairs, taking turns to be the "Tour Guide". They must pick up a card, show it to their partner, and introduce it using the structure: "This is a _____."

- Teacher walks around to listen and praise pupils who speak loudly and confidently.

- Invite 2-3 "Tour Guides" to stand in front of the class and introduce their 3D pictures to everyone.

- Teacher reviews and summarizes the main points of the lesson (The chant, the structure This is a..., and writing letter V/v).
