Activity 1: Listen and tick.

a. Objective: To listen to and understand five communicative contexts and tick the correct pictures.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher draws pupils’ attention to Pictures 1a and 1b. Elicit the context and give feedback.

- Teacher retrieves the audio files from a cloud storage and displays an interactive "Listen and Tick" quiz on the smartboard.

- Teacher plays the recording for pupils to listen. Play the recording again for pupils to do the activity. Play a third time for pupils to check their answer. Repeat the procedure with the rest of the pictures.

- Teacher gets pupils to swap books with a partner, then checks answers as a class. Write the correct answers on the board.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the pairs of pictures and identify the actions/items/colours.

- Pupils listen closely to the recording to pick out the specific information for the 5 questions.

Activity 3: Read and match.

a. Objective: To read and match pairs of target sentence patterns.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher draws pupils’ attention to the five pairs of sentence patterns. Get pupils to read Question 1 (May I come in?) in chorus and elicit the answer (Sentence e: Yes, you can.). Give feedback and match with Sentence e. Have the class act out the exchange.

- Teacher sets up a collaborative matching game on a shared digital learning platform.

- Teacher gives pupils time to do the activity. Go around the classroom to offer support.

- Teacher gets pupils to swap books, checks answers, and writes them on the board.

Extension: Invite pairs of pupils to stand up and take turns acting out the matched exchanges.

Activity 5: Ask and answer.

a. Objective: To read and understand five question patterns, then take it in turns to ask and answer the questions.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher draws pupils’ attention to the questions and the pictures. Point at Question 1 (May I go out?), tell pupils to look at the picture, elicit the answer and give feedback. 

- Teacher introduces a simple AI-generated conversation video between a mother and a child demonstrating the target questions to model natural pronunciation.

- Teacher has pupils work in pairs. Tell them to take it in turns to ask and answer the questions. Go around the classroom to offer support.

- Teacher invites a few pairs of pupils to stand up and take turns asking and answering the target questions.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the 5 target questions and their corresponding pictures.

- Pupils respond to the teacher's model to form the correct answers based on the visual cues.

4. APPLICATION

Mission: "The Big Review Interview"

a. Objective: To confidently apply the reviewed structures in a highly engaging, communicative setting.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher writes the English instruction on the board: "Task: Interview your friends."

- Teacher provides each pupil with a "Review Card" containing 3 simple prompts based on the lesson's target language:

1. Do you have a _______?

2. What colour is it?

3. What do you do at break time?

- Teacher models the interview with a confident pupil at the front.

- Pupils must stand up, find a partner, and interview them using the 3 questions. They can fill in the blank in Q1 with any school thing they like.

- After interviewing, pupils swap roles.

- Teacher invites 2-3 pupils to report back to the class (e.g., "Mai has a pen. It's blue. She plays badminton at break time.").

* CONSOLIDATION

- Teacher reviews and summarizes the main sentence patterns covered in Units 6 to 10.
