Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat.

a. Objective: To understand and correctly repeat sentences focusing on asking for and giving permission.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher has pupils look at Pictures a and b and identify the characters.

- Teacher explains Context a: Ben asks and Mr Long answers.

- Teacher explains Context b: Mai asks and Mr Long answers.

- Teacher plays the recording for pupils to listen, then plays it again sentence by sentence for them to repeat individually and in chorus.

- The teacher operates an interactive digital smartboard to display AI-generated animated images of the characters and taps them to play the pronunciation audio.

- Teacher corrects pronunciation where necessary and invites a few pairs to repeat the sentences in front of the class.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the pictures and identify the characters (Ben, Mai, Mr Long).

- Pupils listen to the contexts provided by the teacher.

* Context: a) May I open the book? - No, you can't.

b) May I go out? - Yes, you can.

- Pupils listen to the recording and repeat the sentences in chorus and individually.

Activity 3: Let's talk.

a. Objective: To enhance the correct use of target structures in a freer context.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher draws pupils' attention to the picture of a classroom.

- Teacher asks questions to help pupils identify the context where pupils ask the teacher for permission.

- Teacher elicits the missing words in the speech bubbles (May I ____? - Yes, / No, ____.) and writes them on the board.

- Teacher puts pupils into pairs to ask for permission and give answers.

- Teacher invites pairs to perform their conversations at the front of the class.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the classroom scene.

- Pupils help the teacher fill in the missing words in the speech bubbles.

- Pupils work in pairs to create short dialogues based on the picture (e.g., asking to open a book, speak Vietnamese, or come in).

a. Objective: To listen to and understand four communicative contexts and number the correct pictures.

Activity 5: Look, complete and read.

a. Objective: To complete the target sentence patterns with the help of picture cues.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher has pupils look at the four incomplete dialogues and identify what the characters are asking for.

- Teacher models Picture 1. Elicits the missing word "can" from the class.

- Teacher has pupils complete dialogues 2, 3, and 4 individually.

- Teacher asks a few pairs to read the completed dialogues aloud.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils observe the incomplete sentences and the accompanying pictures.

- Pupils answer the teacher to complete the first sentence.

- Pupils work independently to write the missing words in their books.

- Pupils read the completed dialogues aloud in pairs.

a. Objective: To consolidate the target vocabulary (go out, speak Vietnamese, sit down, open the book) accurately without distractions.

b. Organisation:

Mission 1: Look and match

- Teacher projects a highly focused worksheet activity.

- Teacher asks pupils to look at the four pictures (A–D) and the four phrases (1–4).

- Teacher asks pupils to complete the remaining matches in pair.

- While pupils are working, teacher walks around the classroom to monitor, give support, and encourage pupils who need help.

- Teacher checks answers as a class. 

Mission 2: Complete the quiz (optional).

- Teacher sends link the quiz on website kenhhoctap: https://kenhhoctap.edu.vn/bai-tap/quiz-global-success-3-textbook-unit-7-classroom-instructions-25086 for student to perform.

- Teacher gives pupils 5 minutes to choose the correct answer.

- Teacher calls out pupils to share their answers and explain the correct ones.

- Pupils receive the matching task.

- Pupils  work in pair, draw lines to match the specific action phrase to the correct image.

- Pupils check answers with teacher.
