1. WARM-UP

a. Objective: To create a friendly and energetic atmosphere, review how to introduce friends, and lead into the new lesson.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher greets the class.

- Teacher asks the students to watch an AI-generated video designed to support the lesson and answer the questions that appear in the video.

- Teacher organizes a quick TPR (Total Physical Response) game called "Music & Friends".

- Teacher uses a voice command to an AI-integrated smart speaker (IoT device) to control the music (e.g., "Hey Google, play energetic children's walking music" / "Stop the music").

- Teacher asks pupils to walk or dance around the classroom. When the music stops, pupils must quickly find a partner, high-five, and introduce their partner to the teacher (e.g., "Hello, this is my friend, [Name].").

- Teacher praises the pupils and asks them to open their books to Unit 3, Lesson 3 to start the new lesson.

- Pupils greet the teacher.

- Students watch the AI-generated video and answer the questions about it.

Activity 2: Listen and tick.

a. Objective: To identify the target words that and thank while listening.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher draws pupils' attention to the three sentence options for each question.

- Play the recording from sachmem.net for Sentence 1 twice for pupils to listen and tick. Play a third time to check.

- Repeat the procedure with Sentence 2.

- Teacher displays the exercise from sachmem.net on the smartboard activating the digital ticking tool.

- Extension: Invite pupils to stand up and repeat the sentences.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils read the options in Activity 2.

- Pupils listen and tick the correct boxes.

- Selected pupils use the digital pen or touch interface on the interactive whiteboard to tick the correct boxes directly on the screen.

Activity 4: Read and match.

a. Objective: To read and match four target sentence patterns with four pictures.

b. Organisation:

- Cast a drag-and-drop matching activity from sachmem.net to the interactive smartboard.

- Teacher draws pupils' attention to Sentence 1 (My name's Nam.) and reads it as a class.

- Draw pupils' attention to Picture d. Get them to match it.

- Repeat for the other sentences. Monitor the class.

- Check answers together. Write the correct answers on the board.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Use the touch screen to drag and drop sentences to match the corresponding pictures.

- Pupils read Sentence 1 aloud.

- Pupils look at Picture d and match.

- Pupils work individually to complete sentences 2, 3, 4.

- Pupils check answers with the teacher.

a. Objective: To read, understand and complete three sentences by writing the target words in the gaps.

Activity 6: Project.

a. Objective: To draw three pictures of their friends and use them to practise talking to their classmates.

b. Organisation:

- Tell pupils to open their pictures (drawn at home) or give them 3 minutes to draw quick sketches and use them to practice talking to their classmates.

- Put pupils into groups. Give them time to point to their pictures and say "This is my friend, (name)."

- Go around the class to monitor and offer support.

- Invite a few pupils to the front to present their pictures to the class.

- Extension: Create a class display using the pictures and vote for the most creative.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils prepare their drawings.

- Pupils work in groups, take turns showing pictures and introducing their friends using the target sentence.

- Pupils come to the front of the class to present proudly.

3. PRACTICE

a. Objective: To practice and consolidate the spelling and word order of the target sentence patterns in Unit 3.

b. Organisation:

4. APPLICATION

a. Objective: To apply the learned sentence structures to introduce "friends" and respond to greetings using familiar objects at home.

b. Organisation: 

Mission: "Toy Friends Role-play"

- Teacher assigns the home task: "Tonight, let's introduce your toy friends to your family!"

- Choose two favorite toys (e.g., a teddy bear and a robot) or two pets. Go to your parents or siblings.

- Point to the toys and introduce them using English: "Mom/Dad, this is my friend, [Toy 1]." and "That is my friend, [Toy 2]."

- Make the two toys talk to each other using the target language: "How are you?" - "I'm fine, thank you." (Teacher reminds pupils to practice the th sound in thank).

- Instruct pupils to ask their mothers to participate in the dialogue, record a short video using a smartphone, and share it securely on the class digital group.

- In the next lesson, the teacher will ask a few pupils to bring their toys to class and perform the introduction in front of the class.

* CONSOLIDATION

- Teacher reviews the main points: The sounds th (voiced/unvoiced) and the sentence structures "This is my...", "That is my...".

- Teacher comments on and evaluates pupils' participation.
