2. PRESENTATION 

Activity 1: Look, listen and repeat 

a. Objective: To understand and correctly repeat the sentences in two communicative contexts focusing on identifying parts of the body.

b. Organisation: 

- Teacher has pupils look at Pictures a and b and identify the characters (Bill and Mai).

- Teacher asks pupils to look at Picture a. Play the recording for them to listen.

- Teacher operates the interactive smartboard. The teacher navigates the digital textbook on the smartboard to play specific audio tracks.

- Teacher plays the recording again, sentence by sentence, for pupils to listen and repeat individually and in chorus. Correct their pronunciation.

- Teacher repeats the procedure with Picture b.

- Teacher invites a few pairs to the front to listen and repeat the sentences.

- Teacher draws pupils' attention to the question What's this? and the answer It's a nose. Explain that they are used to ask and answer about a part of the body.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the pictures, identify characters and the context.   

- Pupils focus on the screen. The students visually follow the navigation of digital content on the smartboard.

- Pupils listen to the recording and follow along.

- Pupils listen and repeat the sentences in chorus and individually.

- Pupils pay attention to their pronunciation. 

- Selected pairs go to the front and role-play the exchanges. 

- Pupils listen to the teacher's explanation of the target structure.

Activity 3: Let's talk.

a. Objective: To enhance the correct use of What's this? and It's ____. to identify parts of the body in a freer context.

b. Organisation:

- Teacher draws pupils' attention to the picture of a body with lines pointing to an eye, a nose, a hand, a face, and an ear.

- Teacher elicits the missing words in the speech bubble and writes them on the board. Get pupils to say the completed sentences.

- Teacher has pupils practise asking the question and giving their own answers in pairs. Make sure pupils use the right pronunciation and intonation.

- Teacher invites some pairs to practise in front of the class.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the picture and identify the specific body parts being pointed to.

- Pupils help the teacher fill in the missing words and read the sentences aloud.

- Pupils work in pairs, asking and answering using the target structures. 

- Selected pairs come to the front to perform. 

Activity 4: Listen and tick 

a. Objective: To listen to and understand two communicative contexts and tick the correct pictures.

Activity 5: Look, complete and read 

a. Objective: To complete four target sentence patterns with the help of picture cues.

b. Organisation: 

- Teacher has pupils look at the pictures and identify the body parts.

- Teacher has pupils look at the four incomplete dialogues and draws their attention to the missing words.

- Teacher models Picture 1. Asks what is missing in the answer, then completes the gap. Repeat with Pictures 2, 3, and 4.   

- Teacher has pupils complete the dialogues individually, then nominates a few pairs to read them aloud.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils identify the body parts in the pictures.

- Pupils observe the incomplete sentences.

- Pupils follow the teacher's model for dialogue 1.

b. Organisation: 

Mission 1: Ask and answer.

- Teacher displays the exercise on screen. Explain the requirements: Divide students into pairs to ask and answer according to the sample.

- Give students 4-5 minutes to work in pair and write the correct sentences in their notebooks.

- Invite 5 pairs to go to the board and tell the answer.

Mission 2: Complete the quiz (optional).

-  Teacher sends link the quiz on website kenhhoctap: https://kenhhoctap.edu.vn/bai-tap/quiz-global-success-3-textbook-unit-4-our-bodies-25086 for student to perform.

- Teacher gives pupils 5 minutes to choose the correct answer.

- Teacher calls out pupils to share their answers and explain the correct ones.

- Teacher moves on to the next content.

- Pupils look at the screen and listen to the teacher's instructions.

- Pupils work in pairs, carefully asking and answering questions together as part of the exercise.

- Pupils check their answers against the screen, correct any mistakes, and read the sentences aloud.
