CONTENTS

Step 1: Transfering the learning task

- T asks Ss to find out the new words in the text then explains the meanings of the new words

Step 2: Performing the learning task

- SS Listen carefully and repeat the words.

- SS Work in groups of 2 – 3 so that Ss can help each other with difficult vocabulary.

Step 3: Discussion

-T asks practise the pronunciation of the new words. 

Step 4: Conclusion

• T make sure that all the students understand the meaning of the vocabulary and pronounce correctly

*New word:

- Boarding school (n): trường nội trú

- lower secondray school (n): trường trung học sơ sở

- playground (n): sân chơi

- international school (n): trường quốc tes

- club (n): câu lạc bộ

-T tells Ss to read the three passages quickly and check their ideas..

Step 2: Performing the task

-Ss follow T’s requirement

Step 3: Discussion

- SS work independently.

• T elicits the answers from Ss

Step 4: Conclusion

• T gives feedback

Ex 2: Read the passage anfd complete the sentences

Step 1: Transfering the learning task

- T ask Ss to reread the passage then find the words and phrases to complete the sentences

Step 2: Performing the task

- Ss do as requested to complete the task

Step 3: Discussion

- Ss can compare answers before discussing them as a class. 

Step 4: Conclusion

- T checks and gives the result

Ex 3: Answer the questions

Step 1: Transfering the learning task

- T has Ss read the passage in detail to answer the questions. Ask them how to do this kind of exercise.

-T sets a longer time limit for Ss to find the answers to the questions.

Step 2: Performing the task

- Ss do as requested to complete the task

Step 3: Discussion

- Ss can compare answers before discussing them as a class. 

Step 4: Conclusion

- T checks and gives the result then allows Ss to read the three passages in chorus once. Then call some individuals to read aloud to the class. 

-T checks their pronunciation and intonation
