LESSON 3: A CLOSER LOOK 2
I. OBJECTIVES.
1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to use should/ shouldn’t for advice and some/any for amount
2. Competences:
- Developing communicative competence, cooperation competence and thinking skills through listening, speaking, reading and writing.
- Use the lexical items related to the topic “Our Tet Holiday”
- Using should or shouldn’t to say what children should/ shouln’t do.
3. Quality: Love Tet holiday
II. TEACHING AIDS.
- Teacher: Text book, exercise book, English room.
- Student: Text book, notebook, exercise book.
III. PROCEDURE.
1. WARM UP (5’)
a. Goal: To lead Ss into the new lesson
b. CONTENTS: Ss anwer T’s questions
c. Expected result: Ss can answer questions correctly.
d. Performance:
-T asks Ss to look atthe picture and ask them some questions to focus their attention to the situation before
focusing on the use of should / shouldnt, e.g. Where are they? Why is Nam wearing a raincoat? What will happen Nam comes into the kitchen with his raincoat still on? then write the motherS response on the board and underline the word shouldn’t.
-Then Teacher leads into the new lesson
2. PRESENTATION: (10’)
Activity 1: Should/shouldn’t
a. Goal: Provide the form and the usage of should and shouln’t
b. CONTENTS: Understand the form and the usage of should and shouln’t
c. Expected result: Ss can use the form and the usage of should and shouln’t to do exercises.

Meaning : should: nên, shouldn’t : không nên b. Usage : express advice c. Form : should(n’t) + bare-inf.. EX: Nam, you shouldn’t wet the floor. You should take your raincoat off first.’

a. Goal: Provide the form and the usage of Some/any
b. CONTENTS: Understand the form and the usage of Some/any
c. Expected result: Ss can use the form and the usage of Some/any to do exercises.
