* New words

- Teacher use different techniques to teach vocabulary (situation, realia, examples)

- Follow the seven steps of teaching vocab.

* Checking vocab: Slap the board

- Then ask Ss to do ex 1

Step 2: Performing the task

- Ss pay attention and take notes the new words then do ex 1 individually before comparing in pairs.

Step 3: Discussion

- SS listen and repeat the new words

- T calls some Ss to answer aloud

Step 4: Conclusion

- Teacher correct SS’s mispronunciation

- T ensures that Ss understand the meanings of the vocabulary

*Vocabulary:

- plaster (n): băng dính cá nhân

- sleeping bag (n): túi ngủ

- Sun cream (n): kem chống nắng

- Scissors ['sizəz] (n): cái kéo

- Backpack (n): ba lô

- compass (n): la bàn

Step 1: Transfering the learning task

- T ask Ss to read the sentences and find the right words in 1 to fill the blanks. (Ex 2)

- T tells Ss that they are going on a holiday and now they need to order the itemds from the most useful to the least useful

- T allows pairs to work together to form their list

- T asks pairs to join other groups and comapre their list

Step 2: Performing the task

- Ss do as requested to complete the task

Step 3: Discussion

- T calls on some pairs to report their result then T encourage them to give reasons for they choices

Step 4: Conclusion

- Teacher give comments.
