- Teacher uses different techniques to teach vocabulary (situation, realia, examples)

- Follow the seven steps of teaching vocab.

* Checking vocab: Slap the board

- Listen and repeat

- Other students listen to the answer and give comment

Step 4: Conclusion

- Teacher monitors and gets feedback

2. Open prediction

Step 1: Transfering the learning task

* Set the scene: Phong is drawing his house in the future and Nick is asking him about it.

? Copy the table and guess.

What type of house is it?

Where is it?

What are  surrounded his house?

How many rooms are there?

What appliances are there in the room?

Step 2: Performing the task

- Ss answer the questions individually

Step 3: Discussion

- Report the result to the class 

Step 4: Conclusion

- T gives comment and adds on to the answer if necessary

Ex 2: Find and write down the words or phrases

Step 1: Transfering the learning task

-T explains the meanings of Type of house, Locations and Applianes then has Ss repeat the words several times.

-Ask Ss to work in pairs to read the converation agian and find out the words or phrases to show type of the house, the locations of the house and its appliances

Step 2: Performing the task

- Ss do the task in pairs

Step 3: Discussion

- T ask one Ss to go to the board and write the words/phrases

Step 4: Conclusion

-T checks the answers as a class

Ex 3: Read the conversation again then tick T (true) or F (False)

- T gives time for SS to read the conversation independently again and tick true or false. Ask them to share their answers in pairs before discussing in groups

Step 2: Performing the task

- Ss do as appointed to do the task

Step 3: Discussion

- T selects one student to give his or her answers in front of class.

Step 4: Conclusion

- T praises them when they give the correct answers

Ex 4: Order the words to make a phrase about a place.

Step 1: Transfering the learning task

- T explains that Ss have to order to make phrases about places. Remind them that eacg groups has one extra word

-Ask Ss to work individually

Step 2: Performing the task

- Ss do as requested to do the task then share the answers with their partner’s

Step 3: Discussion

-T calls on some Ss to write their answer on the board

Step 4: Conclusion

- T checks the answers and give explainatuon if necessary
