UNIT 11: OUR GREENER WORLD

LESSON 4: COMMUNICATION

I. THE OBJECTIVES: 

By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to:

1. Knowledge: - Use the lexical items related to the topic “Our Greener World”

-Vocab:the lexical items related to the topic Our Greener World”

- Grammar: Conditional sentences: Type 1Will, / to make Sth/Sb do Sth or to cause sth

2. Competences:Improve self-learning competence, creative, communicative and cooperation competence.

3. Quality: Have serious attitude to the topic “Our Greener World”, have responsibility  for the environment

Talk about ways to “go green” by doing 3Rs Club survey.                     

II. TEACHING AIDS.

T : Textbook, lesson plan, a projector, a laptop

Ss : Text book.

III. Procedure:

1. WARM UP: ( 5’)

a. Goal: help Sts to remember the previous lesson

b. CONTENTS :  Ss answer the question

c. Expected result:  Students broaden their vocabulary 

d. Performance:

T write 3R on the board and ask Ss what 3R stand for. Then divide class into 3 groups. Draw the table of 3R on the board and call Ss of three groups to go to the board and write the words that propriate for each “R”. The groups which has more words is the winner

2. PRESENTATION

a. Goal: To introduce two ways to give warnings in English and to help SS practise giving warnings

b. CONTENTS: Listen to the dialogue then make a similar dalogue
c. Expected result:  Students can understand the way to give warnings

3. PRACTICE

4. PRODUCTION (10’)

a. Goal: Help Students can understand and practise the interview, and find out how green their friends are.

b. CONTENTS: 

Ex 3: Interview a classmate. Compare his or her answers with yours. How many different answer have you got?

c. Expected result:  Students can understand and practise the interview with their friends, and find out how green their friends are.

d. Performance:

* HOMEWORK: (3’)

• Talk about what you do for the environment

• Learn by heart all the new words.
