- Follow the seven steps of teaching vocabulary

- Repeat in chorus and individually

- Copy all the words

Step 3: Discussion

-Some students repeat the vocabulary in front of class

Step 4: Conclusion

- T makes sure that all student copy the new words and the meaning of them

4. Talk about a city in your country, using the questions below as a guide

Step 1: Transfering the learning task

- Ask Ss  to work in groups to choose a city they know and discuss. Tell SS to use the questions as a guide

- Ask Ss to take short notes of the answers for latr use

Step 2: Performing the task

- Ss do as appointed to do the task

Step 3: Discussion

- T calls Ss to read their answers in front of class

Step 4: Conclusion

- T listens then gives comments

5.  Write a postcard: While- writing.

Step 1: Transfering the learning task

- Ask Ss to use their ideas in 4 to write a postcard to their family

-Ask Ss to refer to Reading 2 if needed

T: Have Ss retell how to write a postcard

Step 2: Performing the task

Ss:  Use the notes you have made in speaking 4 , page 28 to write a postcard to your family or friends

Step 3: Discussion

- Report the result to the class 

Step 4: Conclusion

- T checks the answer

- Give example:

T: If there is time, you can pair Ss and ask them to write postcards to each other.

Dear Mum and Dad

Hue is a great city. The weather is fine. It's sunny all the time. The food is cheap and delicious. The people are friendly and   hospitable. The hotel we are staying is small but comfortable.  Yesterday we visited the historic monuments. Tomorrow we're  going on the trip along the Huong River. 

 You must visit this city someday. You'll love it.
