UNIT 6: OUR TET HOLIDAY

LESSON 7: LOOKING BACK - PROJECT

I. OBJECTIVES.

1. Knowledge: 

By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to:

+ Use the words and phrases for activities at Tet

+ Use should/ shouldn’t, some/any

2. Competences: +  improve self-learning competence, creative, communicative and cooperation competence

3. Quality: 

have a serious attitude to the importance of Tet Holiday 

II. TEACHING AIDS.

T : Textbook, lesson plan, a projector, a laptop

Ss : Learn the old lesson, prepare Unit 12: Looking back - project

III. PROCEDURE

1. WARM UP. (8’) ( Mai làm)

a. Goal:  Draw a mind map about what Students have learnt in this unit to help them consolidate the knowledge they have learnt in this unit.

b. CONTENTS :  Draw a mind map about what Students have learnt in this unit

c. Expected result:  Students can draw a mind map about what they have learnt in this unit to help them consolidate the knowledge they have learnt. Then, they can remember and use them actively.

Activity 2: Grammar

a. Goal: to help Ss revise the use of should/ shouldn’t and some/any

b. CONTENTS: SS write full sentences and fill the blank in the passage

c. Expected result: Ss can do the tasks correctly 

d. Performance

4. PRODUCTION (15’) - PROJECT

a. Goal: to allow Ss to apply what they have learnt in to practice through a project

b. CONTENTS: an in-class activity

c. Expected result: Ss feel happy to say their wishes

d. Performance: 

- T asks Ss each to get a small piece of paper and reminds Ss not to write their names on the paper.

- T allows them 3 - 5 minutes to write their wishes. T can demonstrate by writing on the board some examples, using wish or want 

- Have Ss come up and hang their wishes on the tree.

- When everybody is ready, T calls on some Ss to come up, pick a random piece of paper, and read the wish aloud. The class guesses whose wish it is.

- At the end, T asks Ss to make a list of the wishes they are most interested in so that they can share them with their family when they return home.

* HOMEWORK: 

- Revise the vocab & grammar of unit 6.

- Prepare: Review 3 

+ Revise all the vocab, grammar and pronunciation from unit 4-6
